A deeply relaxing and simple practice focused on gentle movements and deeper stretching, all to calming music. Deep Stretch is a passive practice during which postures are held for 1-3 minutes to find a deep connection in each pose and to provide extra mobility for joints and ligaments. You will be encouraged to relax into each posture.

There are a number of benefits to a Deep Stretch yoga practice, including:

  • Calms the mind   Overthinking is a common issue in modern life and it can be difficult to quiet the mind.  Deep Stretch will help to ease you into a sense of calm awareness.

  • Healing and nourishing — Deep stretch can be effective at loosening tight muscles. It is a nourishing and grounding way of connecting with your body.

  • Aid injury recovery and prevention — This form of yoga is beneficial for your joints and mobility, as well as working deep into the muscles to help with injury prevention and recovery.


We will explore the body’s range of motion with standing postures, twists, backbends, forward bends and hip openers.


This class is open to beginners and seasoned practitioners but is particularly appropriate if you:

  • Are new to yoga — This class is a great way to learn yoga basics!

  • Want to focus on yoga’s foundational postures —  Everyone needs a refresher once in a while, even yoga veterans.

  • Are pregnant — Many women find yoga to provide relief from the discomforts of pregnancy. Slow Flow postures can easily be modified to benefit pregnant women’s bodies.

  • Are recovering from an injury, illness, or childbirth — Yoga offers an opportunity for gentle, low-impact movement that provides a great way to reintroduce exercise after an extended time away.

  • Suffer from stress and/or anxiety — Many yoga practitioners say the single greatest benefit of their yoga practice is stress relief; additionally, many who begin yoga for the physical benefits continue for the mental and spiritual benefits.
