For where your treasure is, there your heart will also be. Matthew 6:21

My daughter and I were cleaning out some broken crayon pieces in her coloring bin the other day, and I asked her what she wanted to do with the broken pieces we had removed, and she said, “Well, broken crayons still color, I will use them!”

Have you ever felt YOU were too broken, weak, and flawed for God to use?

God has a history of using broken people.

Moses was an emotional wreck at times, and God still used him. Some days he wanted to give up, and God still used him. Then, finally, he was overwhelmed, and guess what - yep, God still used him. And other characters were much the same. David was an adulterer, murderer, and liar. Paul imprisoned and persecuted Christians. Abraham lied about Sarah being his wife, twice: and the list could go on.

Why did God continue to use them? Because they had a heart for him despite their broken pieces. Giving your heart to God empowers you. He promises to protect you but to also strengthen you, every single day. When you stop relying on yourself or other imperfect people to guide your heart and decisions, you realize He has been paving your path all this time. And when you trust Him to take control, to love and direct you, you find the strength not only in Him but in yourself.

Are you ready to be used by God? God is not looking for perfect people since there are none. Instead, he is searching for people that have a heart for him.
