Then Jesus told his disciples a parable to show them that they should always pray and not give up. Luke 18:1

My girls love wishing wells. Throw in your spare change, make a wish, and watch it fall to the bottom. Then, walk away and wait and see if the wish comes true! Wishing wells is fun; however, I think we pray this way too often. So throw out a prayer, walk away, and wait and see if God answers it! In Luke 18 1-8, Jesus tells the disciples a parable about a very persistent widow. Who refused to give up! So Jesus told the disciples to pray and never give up! To ask and keep on asking for what they need—knowing that God hears the prayers of His people.

Yes, He hears the tired mama prayers and the I don't-know-what-to-do prayers. He hears the groans of the suffering and the ache of the one who doesn't even know what to pray. He hears the lonely and the lost and those longing for love. He hears the completely exhausted morning prayers, and He's already expecting the middle of the afternoon I-don't-think-I'm-going-to-make-it prayers. And in the middle of the night prayers? Those are special to Him. God hasn't saved us so that He can ignore us—praying isn't a last resort, or let's walk away and see what happens! God saved us so we can enjoy a relationship with Him. So keep asking, keep praying, expect Him to answer because He hears you and He cares for you!.

God's listening, and He'll still be listening today, tomorrow, and the next day!.

Have you stopped asking? Do you have a wait-and-see prayer life?
